One week down...

WOW !!! what a first week its been.I don't even know really where to start.

The flight was as enjoyable as a 13 hour flight can be. Met a couple of guys along the way and have ended up becoming great mates with Alex he's from NZ and both being new to Vancouver where pretty much ended up seeing the city together.

Vancouver is just a phenomenal City, I am stuck for words to explain how amazing I've found it to be.
One of the best parts was that everyone who i have met has come over here with The Working Holiday Club which has been great being able to make some friends before heading up the mountain to start work.
Staying at the Samesun hostel has been such a surprise at first i was somewhat sceptical about hostel living however i have some of the best times of my life and nights that i'll never forget.

After an amazing sleep the first night we (other TWHC travellers) set out to see the sights of Vancouver City.

Stanley Park was just amazing, squirrels are literally everywhere  and we even saw a family of raccoons. Capilano Suspension bridge was next on our tourist list it was just breath taking and just so flawless whilst kind still leaving me a little bit on the edge as we where exceptionally high up.

That was just the first two days on the Second night we went to see the Vancouver Giants play Ice Hockey, These guys were dead set trying to kill each other. Hopefully the NHL comes off lock out soon, but for now where enjoying the Junior leagues.  You just have to make sure that you dont mention that the Vancouver Canucks arent playing at the moment or the locals blow up.

Halloween was the most amazing night or series of nights really. First was the Saturday night version where we ended up getting asked to get dressed up at this bar as Zombies for a horror maze, after that we ended up in a limo on our way back to Granville St. which had been closed and  was filled thousands of people dressed up in some of the most insane costumes Ive ever seen. Seriously one of the most amazing experiences I ever had.

So to wrap it all up as you can tell I had a great time in Vancouver and was sad to leave, but after all I left to come up to Whistler so let the real fun begin.

Dont forget to get on to these guys and come over and join me next season...

One week to go

With just under a week to go I wish The Working Holiday Club ( TWHC) also included a packing service. But let me take you back to how I got involved with TWHC to start with. About two years ago i started looking at the idea of going to work a ski season in Canada my dream was of course to go live it up in whistler, however life got in the way and i got sidetracked from my dream however i decided that year was the year the i was start my exciting adventure of a lifetime and this is where the working holiday club came into action, soon after i made contact with there agents i was sent all the information one would ever need to take the first steps of planning my adventure.

TWHC introduced me to one of there most popular working holidays “ The Powder Pack” it was like they new exactly what i wanted to do, I had a look over the information and then shortly after started the application process. As I already mention the dream was to go to Whistler, and so that is exactly where i ended up after a face to face interview and a couple of emails, i got accepted for the position of life operator in the most prestigious resort on the mountain.
NOW THE COUNTDOWN WAS ON !!!

On the 24th of October I fly out on what will be the biggest adventure i have ever taken and i have no idea where i'm going to end up after it all. But thats the most exciting part. I have heard nothing but positive things about what you experience when on you start working. And i cant help thinking that its all down to the amazing help and organisation of The Working Holiday team, they truly do give you the right information you need to start creating memories you will never forget.

One massive positive is Ill be able to watch the NBA at night time, rather than watching it on my phone or iPad at work. And not to mention how big Crossfit is in Canada, i can only hope that i can stay injury free, surely i have put all of that past me this year.  Time will tell if i can make it down to LA to see my Lakers play and yes win another ring.

This will be my first time to Snow boarding and also visiting the Ski fields of Canada, although i have travelled around Europe and North America, I am filled with nerves and excitement about what lyes ahead of me. if you would like to experience what is sure to be the holiday of a lifetime, i strongly recommend without hesitation The Working Holiday Club, click on the link below to find out more information about TWHC and follow me on my crazy journey that is the begin of the rest of my lifehttp://www.the-workingholiday-club.com/

Better get back to packing....
